Problem Analysis
Austenitic steels like 316L often fail in heat exchangers due to chloride-induced pitting, high thermal expansion causing stress, and poor heat transfer efficiency.
Solution
Duplex 2205 sheets double the compressive strength of austenitic grades, reduce weight, and operate reliably from -50°F to +600°F. The higher thermal conductivity improves heat exchanger performance.
